How to include diagrams and replayable games in your blog...

Hi all

If you are a member of www.chessworld.net aka www.letsplaychess.com you can have these blogging resources by:

Playable master game

1) Going to to the Play..Learn from the masters
2) Going into a particular game on the Play through facility
3) Clicking 'Show blog code'

Position

1) Go to My stuff..My positions
2) Use set up a position
3) Click the 'Show blogging code'

Both "plugin tools" can be adjusted to be any game score or position by adjusting the parameters.

Letsplaychess.com presents Ivar Bern vs Letsplaychess.com

Letsplaychess.com has managed to draw with the 17th ICCF world champion GM Ivar Bern. It was a very solidly played game by black. We were forced into a dull but solid Queens Indian defence and had to slog it out, accepting an isolated pawn throughout a large part of the game.

But we were never in any real danger of losing, and secured a technical draw in the endgame.

Letsplaychess.com Social 2006

London Socials 2007 Next year we are planning TWO London socials, both to be held at the Punch and Judy in Covent Garden, our venue for the past 5 years. Click here for details of the pub and for a map: Punch and Judy The Punch and Judy does have access for disabled people. Please message me if you wish to make use of this, so that we can arrange to have you met at the lift in advance and save you from waiting around. The dates will be: Saturday 28th April Saturday 25th August Both socials will begin at 11.30 a.m., and will conmtinue until around 6.00 p.m., at which time we will aim to arrange an evening meal for those who wish to stay on. Many people are a little nervous of attending a social, as was I the first time! But please be assured that you will be made to feel very welcome. You will be greeted on arrival, and introduced to another chessworld member for your first game of chess. Kasparov vs Karpov 1985

This was an interesting encounter where Karpov needed a win, played a slightly different opening to what he usually plays, and where he really needed to play it like a hacker - going for the king.
